BUILDING BRIDGES: COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS FOR A HEALTHY HARBOR
Realizing the dream of a “fishable, swimmable harbor” will require lots of caring work and deep collaboration between unlikely partners. Our speakers, Ashley Traut (Blue Water Baltimore), and Chris Streb (Biohabitats) will share details about two projects already underway to (1) green the city’s alleyways and (2) engage school children in the construction of the floating wetlands at the World Trade Center. Structured networking in “Affinity Groups” will follow their 45-minute presentation.
This Forum is one week early in order to coincide with the other 20+ Baltimore Green Week events. More information be found here: http://bit.ly/bgweek2011
FYI: We'll have free Chipotle burritos while they last...
The Purpose of the Baltimore Green Forum is to seek to improve the quality of all life in the greater Baltimore area. Our contribution to this goal will be to gather monthly in order to: Discern the progress towards regional sustainability that has already been achieved, Discover the connections amidst the chaos of the movement and build a community of like-minded individuals, and Do take appropriate action to address the challenges we face together. BGF is open to the public and is free of charge, but donations to Maryland Presbyterian Church are greatly appreciated. For questions, to co-sponsor, or to RSVP, contact baltimoregreenforum@gmail.com or 301-345-2234.
