I will be at Baker's Crust in Carytown from 12:30-2:00 PM to chat about Transition Richmond. If you are interested in helping with this initiative and are able to participate in it's development I would love to see you there!
We are currently looking for 8-10 people that are passionate on the topics of peak oil, climate change, and local economy. You should have 1-2 days a month when you could attend group meetings. The purpose of this group is to get the ball rolling, developing the fundamentals of the initiative, and spreading the word on the organization locally. This small group well help to get everything up and running - and could later become chairs, board members etc.
If you are currently in a local initiative that's focus is on sustainability and green living, we would love for you to be involved with Transition Richmond as we could all be a great resource networking together.
Please let me know if you will be coming or are interested. Your participation is needed and appreciated!
