Hi David. Who's active in Chattanooga? In other localities in Tennessee. Edit your item occasionally and let's see what emerges for Transition Tennessee...
Hello Mr Les,
I am not sure who is active in the area. I have researched the transition wiki and have been passing the info on to others I know. I was hoping to use this medium to find others in my area whom I do not yet know. I also hoped to locate training for myself and others that is easy for us to attend.

I am looking forward to the new earth and hope to be a small part of its transition.
I am still building interest in the area. I am attending local group events and spreading the word.
Greetings from New Zealand's Winterless North. My wife and I got married in Chattanooga on 5 July 2002 and have very fond memories of riding the "choo choo" and the Riverboat. We wish you all the best in your endeavours
Kind regards

Hi David, i live in the western half of the state and interested in promoting these ideas (transition towns, permaculture, relocalization) in my county - Perry. Would love to keep in touch with others in the state working on these goals.

Try using the new search engine i am working on at www.transitionminnesota.ning.com in order to do networking. i can rough out a tennessee website for you to get a start on and have a place to invite Tennesseeans to. Someone will have to take charge, though, after I set it up. Les might be able to help some when he returns from Rome.
thanks for any help you can throw my our way. I am willing to learn what ever skills needed to help bring positive change to our society.

hello david you know me from our dealings in our littile part of the world, now can we get this thing in gear and be active instead of just talking about it
Would you poor guys like me to start a TRANSITION TENNESSEE site for you to facilitate and administrate? Sounds like you got some creative energy here that needs some productive outlet. I can give you advice as you go - and if there is any others who would like to administer it, and you are not interested, invite them. so, as the saying goes, IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME. I could probably point you in the direction of a few dozen groups to contact in your area, maybe 60 in the state, with a little work, then you would have to gather emails and make formal invitations from your new transition tennessee site. Do you want me to help you after YOU set up the site, that way you will be the automatic CREATOR/ADMINISTRATOR, then i can sign up and you can chose me to also be an ADMINSTRATOR so i can directly help, or would you guys prefer i rough out first, then you sign up and i make you administrators in training?
i would be happy to admin or to set it up if you can provide the know how. I agree with build it and they will come. I started this thread for that purpose. I am happy to have any help you are willing and able to send our way.

thanks again
david
