Greetings,
My wife Becky and I attended the Transition Town Training in Boulder, September 13 & 14, 2008. Our passion for years lies in what is at the heart of authentic community. This search lead us to the world of permaculture and two years ago we started Midwest Permaculture.
We love the ethics (Care of People, Care of Planet) and have found our home in assisting others in digging into the design process of creating a more permanent-culture. As much as we love permaculture, we felt the educational emphasis was light on the subject of creating authentic community.
Then recently we were introduced to the Transition Town Movement. For us, this is a wonderful-complementary piece to all of the permaculture work we are doing.
As long as our assistance is needed we are offering our abilities and our website to support the Transition Initiative in Illinois and the surrounding states. We have posted some fresh information about this on our already existing website. Please take a look and join us in exploring how we can go about creating an amazing future for our selves and future generations.
Feel free to contact us and let's get the ball rolling here in Illinois and beyond. We have lived in and studied community for year. All I can say is..."this is the real thing". This path is an authentic way into a sustainable future. We're in and we're here to see this through. You are welcome to join us.
