What's cool in the GTIA Portfolio...
Green Mountain Eco Festival is a four-day celebration of sustainable living featuring green workshops, live music, and camping by the Niangua River in the hills of the Missouri Ozarks! Come enjoy nature with us and learn to live in harmony with our planet while having a great time and enjoying music by over 30 artists on three stages.

The Festival will feature fun Eco-activities where everyone will be able to participate. You could build a children’s play castle out of used tires, straw bales & old newspaper, help power the show with our bike generator, learn benefits of buying local or growing your own food, tips and techniques for a successful organic garden, find out how to build your own rain-barrel for only a fraction of the cost of buying one and then head down to the River Song Wellness Space for a yoga, drumming or belly dance class.

We have invited speakers and non-profit organizations to get you excited about changing the future of our planet and show you how to get involved with a group of committed citizens! The Human Rights Awareness Tour is a nationally touring group that will be bringing their 'No Sweat' fashion show, art installations focusing on human rights, CFL Bulb booth and more. New Roots Urban Farm will teach us how to ferment our own healthy beverages and The Well-Fed Neighbor Alliance will share with you their vision of a peaceful, abundant & sustainable future.

The Green Mountain Eco Festival will be a fun way to spread the wealth of ever-changing knowledge about sustainable living. Currently we run our busses on biodiesel, operate a community garden, post signs about eco-friendly changes we have made, and consult with businesses and individuals about the effects of their operations. Our eco-friendly flyers are printed on recycled paper with soy ink and biodegradable UV coating, and our shuttles & stages are powered by biodiesel. At the festival fill up your water bottle at our free water re-fill station, and recycle at the zero-waste station donated by Laclede Industries.

Proceeds will fund the Green Mountain Sustainability Center's projects and future goals. We are working towards having a completely sustainable, carbon-neutral example of a business and residence that visitors can walk through and learn from as well as offering on-going classes & workshops. To utilize the current best technologies, we will need to convert the current electrical system to a renewable energy system, and build more examples of sustainable housing. We hope to be a successful model for other communities to do the same.
