Transition Training by Alastair Lough, PhD and Patricia Proulx-Lough, LMFT

Pat and I are among the co-founders of the Transition Movement in the United States. Having trained with Naresh Giangrande and Sophy Banks, we are authorized Transition instructors, and have founded the Transition Training Center, in Portland, Maine to provide the two day Training for Transition course. Together, we bring experience in natural resources, the psychology of change, organizational behavior, group facilitation, visioning processes, event planning and leadership.

In addition to providing courses in Portland, ME, we will travel to your location to deliver the training in your venue of choice to reduce the course-carbon footprint, and make the course more affordable to participants. This will increase the number of local participants, and create a local social network of people who understand, and can help implement the Transition Model. We will let you know.

I am part of the National training workgroup.
There are now 21 trainers, of which 3 are on the East Coast.

I can't say when another group will be trained, but probably within this year.
I can also say that criteria likely to be considered among others,
- Having participated in a T4T
- Ability to Deliver the T4T
- Training experiences
- Permaculture background
- Transition Initiative experience
- A commitment to participate in a TI if not already in one.
- Ability to broaden or deepen the training pool
- Science background
- Therapy background (inner worlds)
- Ethnicity
- Languages spoken

Hey Alastair, what would it take to get all 21 trainers to post themselves as Trainers here in this section.
