Atlantic Coast, North America

We look over vast waters east of us. There might be food & energy out there, or not, depending on some flows & trends (toxins, capital, votes, rulings...). We wonder how & when storms & sea level rise will next alter our communities.

By the government's definition, it's hurricane season.  The peak activity, however, tends to occur in August - October.  Here's the Atlantic outlook, not forecast, for the 2011 season.

Do you sail on the open sea?

Which of us have the knowledge, skills and equipment to move people and basic stuff from port to port?  Can you teach, advise, discourage....?

One of you, please start a discussion!
