Further note, Eric. How about inviting the Phoenix Press to create a link to all our members Re: the reasons a printing press would install a wind turbine on-site... Here's the page to set up the link -- http://transitioninaction.com/groups/group/new

Eric. Done. You are now an Admin for Transition Connecticut. Let me know when you have questions about how to build the group's resume.

I'd like to become an Admin or officer of the group. Tonight I attended the ElmCityMarket.coop meeting in New Haven and joined! It's an exciting time for the New Haven area! My fiancee's father owns Phoenix Press (the only commercial printer in the USA that owns a wind turbine on-site)- you may have seen the turbine from the Q-river bridge!

Hello transitioners of Connecticut. I've joined you to eavesdrop a bit and to invite you to join another group: Atlantic Coast, North America.

It's a bioregion group considering the nature of Transition on the Atlantic coast of North America.

Jason, let me encourage you to add Soundkeeper and http://www.thefarmatstratford.org/ to our transition-supporting organizations -- http://transitionus.ning.com/groups/group/new. Use this form twice to include both groups. Let me know if you have questions about the details.

Thanks Les. Some of the things we've been doing at Soundkeeper that would fit in with the Transition Movement: Have created a local currency called the "Sound Dollar", a nice design by a local graphic artist (designed for free). I am looking to promote this local currancy as a way to increase local resilience to the ever deflated U.S. dollar. We are doing thing at our Farm at Stratford initiative (www.thefarmatstratford.org) that have to do with clean water and local resilience including: have sold 50 rain barrels (converted from Coca-cola syrup drums to the public for only $40 each (will be getting more). This is also the second year of the community garden, with a total of 65 plots farmed this year by the locals, the garden is a real success! I am working on getting a demonstration rain garden at the farm and renewable energy demonstrations. I did distribute about 50 transition initiative information around my neighborhood but I got no responses, this is the biggest challenge, getting participation and raising concern over these issues without sounding like an alarmist.

Jason, I went ahead and deleted the non-Connecticut references. They were only intended to demonstrate the versatility of the Text Box, which you, can edit and enhance to show off Connecticut's activities. This applies to all creators of our 241 Groups. Creators, take note! :)

Jason, great job creating your Connecticut resume. Now that you've added your own materials, delete everything else in the Text Box.
