Margaret, please take a look at the TRANSITION IOWA PORTFOLIO -- I'm ready to show you the ropes when you are. This is draft. Further suggestions?

G'day Iowa Transitioners,

Need a favor! Would you be willing to help move the remaining membership from our original Transition Iowa State website to this new group? There are 28 members who need a little encouragement to move to the new site from the old site, which will be deleted any day now.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOU
* Log into the old site at http://transitioniowa.ning.com
* Go to http://transitioniowa.ning.com/profiles/members/
* Change the SORT BY to Alphabetical.
* Use the first letter of your first name to select everybody whose first letter matches yours. Check through our roster on this page and select another letter if somebody else's name starts with your letter. Repeat the process with the letter before and the letter after yours. Don't worry about some people getting a couple of notices.
* Click on their photo one by one and use the COMMENT WALL to send your message.
* In addition, for extra credit, focus on 3 or 4 of your closest acquaintenances and send them a personal note.

Thanks!

Les

Okay, Les, I think it's time for starting a Des Moines subgroup under Transition Iowa. So I'm ready to learn how to make Transition Des Moines appear under Transition Iowa. Thanks in advance! Margaret

Hi Margaret. You are now an admin. Which means you can appoint additional admins when they volunteer. Whe you have the FB and TW links, add them to your group resume. Feel free to start a Des Moines subgroup, and I'll then show you how to make it appear under Transition Iowa.

I will be one of the administrators. I think another person or two will volunteer to share this responsibility soon. We have plans for Facebook and Twitter that are not yet implemented, but when set up will link with this site. We may also want to establish a Transition Des Moines subgroup.
