Hey Les, I am finding Transition Maryland very confusing. There are too many links up at the top. If you have to keep them all . . could they be moved to the BOTTOM? Also, when I click on "Maryland Portfolio" or "Associates of Maryland", neither link takes me to a list of ALL of the groups in Maryland. Can this be changed?

Hello transitioners of Maryland. I've joined you to eavesdrop a bit and to invite you to join another group: Atlantic Coast, North America.

It's a bioregion group, formed only days ago with Les' encouragment, considering Transition on the Atlantic coast of North America.

Training for Transition

EcolocityDC will host Training for Transition on August 28-29, 2010 at the Center for Education and Design Communication, 821 Varnum Street NE, Washington DC.

Whatever you figure you will do to meet the challenges of climate change, peak oil and economic turbulence, you cannot do it alone. Community collaboration for localization and resilience are essential.

Hi Les,
I started the Sunset Lifeboat Meetup group as an action follow-up to a May 2010 DC speaking engagement by Stoneleigh of The Automatic Earth blog. The Automatic Earth emphasizes the economic storm as the first crisis to hit us, then peak oil, then climate. I think Sunset Lifeboat Meetup group could morph into a TT group [with the additional emergency preparation component recommended by Richard Heinberg].
I invited Maryland Transition members to attend mostly because I wanted to meet them too.
You will have to help me understand what you are asking for as far as admin work here for Sunset Lifeboat group, but I am willing to learn waht to do.
Best,
Helen

Great to see all of you here and to hear about your Lifeboart Meetup. Who of you (all of you?) would like to be Admins on this page -- so you can edit the Resume to reflect your group's activities. Notice that the Lifeboat Meetup now appears.
