What's happening in TRANSITION NORTH CAROLINA?  What are the major Transition localities... We've just added 10 most recent news items to our group.

Hello all- we are relocating to the Western NC/Asheville area and would like to network with others involved in transition planning, permaculture and landscape design.

Hello transitioners of North Carolina. I've joined you to eavesdrop a bit and to invite you to join another group: Atlantic Coast, North America.

It's a bioregion group, formed very recently with Les' encouragment, considering Transition on the Atlantic coast of North America.

Please see the Group menus we're installing today for North Carolina. These links represent advanced ways of selecting, sorting, reviewing activities and associations scoped to North Carolina. The key to remember is to TAG all events, photos, videos, discussions, etc. with the TAG "US-North-Carolina" as you create them. Go back and tag your earlier creations with "US-North-Carolina" and they will automatically appear on the North Carolina-specific menus. If you hear a big slurping whoosh when you open this page, it's the North Carolina Portfolio gathering bits & pieces from all over the site as well as external sites and summarizing them for this group's members. Who wants to help manage this? It's really fun!

G'day North Carolina Transitioners,

Need a favor! Would you be willing to help move the remaining membership from our original Transition North Carolina State website to this new group? There are 91 members who need a little encouragement to move to the new site from the old site, which will be deleted any day now.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOU
* Log into the old site at http://transitionnorthcarolina.ning.com
* Go to http://transitionnorthcarolina.ning.com/profiles/members/
* Change the SORT BY to Alphabetical.
* Use the first letter of your first name to select everybody whose first letter matches yours. Check through our roster on this page and select another letter if somebody else's name starts with your letter. Repeat the process with the letter before and the letter after yours. Don't worry about some people getting a couple of notices.
* Click on their photo one by one and use the COMMENT WALL to send your message.
* In addition, for extra credit, focus on 3 or 4 of your closest acquaintenances and send them a personal note.

Thanks!

Les
