Big thanks, Bill.  How could I forget State College -- they've been so active.  I've totally revamped the search as a result of your note.  Do the entries seem more representative to you?

State College, Les - not a major city, I suppose, but a major population concentration, and highly influential because of the university.

Pennsylvanians.... 10 new links for Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.  What other major Transition cities are there in PA?

Hey everyone! I think you may be interested in this independent documentary all about "what does sustainability mean?" that is blossoming out of Pittsburgh, PA... and needs your support!

Hello fellow oil nuts in penn's woods. Long time peak oiler and burned-out community builder, first time transitioner. I got two pathetic acres on a clayey hillside and streambed infested with invaders - but I love it. Tons of experience with construction and webmastering and internet-and-computer stuff. Gardening - well I've been gardening most of my life but still feel like a beginner lol. Life is crazy, eh?

Hello transitioners of Pennsylvania. I've joined you to eavesdrop a bit and to invite you to join another group: Atlantic Coast, North America.

It's a bioregion group considering the nature of Transition on the Atlantic coast of North America.

Please see the Group menus we're installing today for Pennsylvania. These links represent advanced ways of selecting, sorting, reviewing activities and associations scoped to Pennsylvania. The key to remember is to TAG all events, photos, videos, discussions, etc. with the TAG "US-Pennsylvania" as you create them. Go back and tag your earlier creations with "US-Pennsylvania" and they will automatically appear on the Pennsylvania-specific menus. If you hear a big slurping whoosh when you open this page, it's the Pennsylvania Portfolio gathering bits & pieces from all over the site as well as external sites and summarizing them for this group's members. Who wants to help manage this? It's really fun!

G'day Pennsylvania Transitioners,

Need a favor! Would you be willing to help move the remaining membership from our original Transition Pennsylvania State website to this new group? There are 88 members who need a little encouragement to move to the new site from the old site, which will be deleted any day now.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOU
* Log into the old site at http://transitionpennsylvania.ning.com
* Go to http://transitionpennsylvania.ning.com/profiles/members/
* Change the SORT BY to Alphabetical.
* Use the first letter of your first name to select everybody whose first letter matches yours. Check through our roster on this page and select another letter if somebody else's name starts with your letter. Repeat the process with the letter before and the letter after yours. Don't worry about some people getting a couple of notices.
* Click on their photo one by one and use the COMMENT WALL to send your message.
* In addition, for extra credit, focus on 3 or 4 of your closest acquaintenances and send them a personal note.

Thanks!

Les
