What's cool in the GTIA Portfolio...
Please introduce yourself below. Describe your locality -- neighborhood, city, state, local trading area, nation, etc. Briefly tell us about your intentions, good and bad experiences, etc. Be specific. Your experience is worth its weight in gold??? (oops, can't say that anymore!!) ...worth it's weight in local trade. Grin.

Hi, I have a home on the New Mexico/Mexico border but am currently living in Petaluma, CA. I've read a lot, done little up to now, starting with Ralph Borsodi's Constant back in the 70's, Rheingold and Lietaer in the early 00's, met Ken Young in Mattole Valley who told me about Thomas Greco and his book The End of Money which I also read. Just ran across bitcoins.org, but their software won't compile on my Linux system and I don't like the way the GUI is integrated into the app to begin with; seems to me it should run from the command-line and have a GUI on top for those who want it. Greco is the one who recommended I join your group.

I'd like to see some diagrams or pseudocode depicting how the first few transactions should work in a distributed, debt-free economy, and write some Python to implement it.

Greco also sent me to his site beyondmoney.net but I guess I have too short of an attention span to get through it to something I can use. Meanwhile I'm a firm believer in precious metals. But the lack of "change" is a problem with silver and gold coins.
