A Great Example of Urban Agriculture

Come be part of the local food revolution. Tainted food is a result of our factory farm food system. Help regain control over our food by getting involved in the local growing and distribution of food close to where we live.

February, 2011

Hello fellow gardeners.

Let's show each other what we have been doing in our yards, community gardens, porches, rooftops and container gardens. Post images of your gardens on this site and tell your friends.

It looks like I am going to have my little farm house after all. There is only one acre but that should be enough to make a really great garden on. Zoned so I can have limited livestock!!!

The growth of vegetable gardens was huge last year and I suspect it will be even larger this year!

Look we is gong viral! This has been so much fun for me. Between growing my own, sharing with friends and family, and finding new friends online across the globe I am content.

Hi! I noticed down the line a list of gardening sites. There is
the Permaculture Research Institute of Australia forum and a site I just found out from there- www.wikigardens.com. There is http://www.pfaf.org which has
an extensive database of plants. There is also on the Permaculture Activist
site a list of seed companies.

Path to Freedom is an inspiration. I'm trying to start something similar in Omaha. Vote for my idea on ideablob--I'm could get $10,000 of seed money!
Vote for my idea, and it could happen.

Great to hear. That is exactly why I put the links there. I do not want to reinvent the wheel so Iam keep track of the gardens and the other site are doing the networking mostly.
