Resilience, systems thinking and social networks

A space to explore complex adaptive systems, systems thinking and how to think about networks in relation to transition

Purpose of the Group

I hope this can be a space where we can discuss Complex Adaptive Systems, Social Networks and their relationship to transition initiatives. I would love to explore resources and thinking about how to analyze and support the creation of Reslience in our network, and communities.

My starting point will be to share some resources I am reading and grappling with and to see where we go from there. I encourage folks to add resources and to share what questions they might want to explore here in the discussions I am starting below.

Here we go.....

Just want to say Ellen i love your book recommendation - especially since i have been privileged to communicate with award-winning cell biologist Dr. Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D., M.D. many times over the span of several years as i conduct research for a book entitled: "The Sacred Quest For The Who Of I Am" which is based in the biology of human consciousness.  Dr. Lipton was the 2009 GOI Peace Award winner for his work in epigenetics. The is a great deal of information available in his books: "The Biology of Belief  - The science of how thoughts control life" and "Spontaneous Evolution" written with co-author Steve Bhaerman.  Am glad to find you on this list and look forward to your new book.

I don't know exactly where this belongs, -- Dave E. maybe you can guide me since i seem to get lost in where we are in these discussions.  However i believe it to be important.

Thanks, all, for your vote on rasheed yusuf's submissions. He and all his postings have been deleted. And he is blocked from reentering.

I would remove him from membership and block him if people choose, and les, can you do that at your overall network levels?

I agree with David. He's here to stir up business, not to participate in pertinent conversation. We are all interested in sharing, spreading word about our work and works. But this is too close for my taste to the spam comments I get to my websites..........
