I don't understand why obtaining this information seems to be so difficult but I'd just like to understand the basic functionality of a solar electrical system. I don't understand how a solar panel can convert sun to electricity. Any enlightenment here?

You did most of the work kathleen, how long did that take and what skill level do you have? What part did you have others do?
