Is the "transition movement" the place to be to LEARN "survival," self-sufficiency skills? .... Like gardening, food preservation, alternative heating, lighting, and on and on. I guess to some extent I'm asking: Is this "movement" as concerned with economic, social, and political collapse as it is with environment collapse? Of course, I realize they are all interrelated .... Thoughts?

    Hi
I'm a city planner currently in Concord, MA. I've been working for more than a year with a few "Locals" on relocalization efforts in Metro West Boston and beyond. Our Concord Climate Action Group just adopted the TT model and several of us took the transition training course in Cambridge, MA from the Portland ME group. Very exciting. Originally from the Heights, I wish all best of luck in these efforts!

    Hi,
I grew up on W. 32nd and Franklin and spent most of my life there so far.... My family and friends are still in Cleveland and in Oberlin. I hope to connect them to this group and would like to see what you are up to. I am in Vermont and we have been using the Transition site to great advantage to connect all the stuff going on. It is a worth a look.
Nice job Jenita getting this together! Hope to connect next time Im in town.
