We are having a movie series at the Skowhegan Public Library. We're starting with Who Killed the Electric Car on Wednesday, October 13th at 7pm.

We'll discuss the movie afterwards. Bring your electric cars!

We had over 14 people at the Pancakes and Transition event. Next step is to form an initiating group and get cracking!

Start inviting the 8000 people to this page. Even if you have to go door-to-door!

Thanks Les! This is a site for people interested in the issues of community and security. You don't have to be from Skowhegan to be a member.

I just attended a training in Boston and feel like I know more about Transition now.

Alistair Lough and others are going to work with us to set something up here.

Skowhegan is around 8000 people, surrounded by farmland and woods and is the perfect place to Transition.

Glad to be here.

Thanks Iver and welcome Skowhegan Maine. It's great to see both here. Now that you've created Transition Skowhegan your members can INVITE likeminded people from Skowhegan and from Transition Maine to commingle, add further information and links as they develop in TEXTBOX, delve into group issues on the DISCUSSION FORUM, and make quick comments on the COMMENT WALL. The hybrid Skowhegan/Transition group even has its own private email list for group announcements. Go for it! Let us know when you have questions.
