Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
As a resident of Vermont, I have communicated with members of the HATT (http://transitionus.org/initiative/hardwick-area-vt-usa) as well as attended workshops at Transition Town Montpelier.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I believe the tenets of the Transition movement are in line with my current views. The very positive message and active pursuit of community rebuilding are essential, and to which the Transition movement embodies masterfully.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
I have significant experience with a number of eco-villages around the world and can bring their knowledge to the table. I also believe there are many other groups, for example Open Source Ecology (http://openfarmtech.org/weblog) that can help communities build their own resilience.

Welcome Adam,

Great to see your interest in Transition! Welcome to TRANSITION IN ACTION.

http://transitioninaction.com/group/linktransitionvermontusa is your link to our new Transition page for your neighbors in Vermont. Feel free to join in the activities. Use the COMMENT WALL to say Hello to the others. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something you're interested in. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Let me know if you would like to be an Admin on this page to help build and maintain your group's Resume. Have fun!

On the local scene, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to Open Source Ecology (http://openfarmtech.org/weblog) in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link -- http://transitioninaction.com/groups/group/new. I'll be glad to help launch and build your link.

You can see all our 315+ groups at http://transitioninaction.com/groups. Use Search on this page to find a specific group. Join as many as you like. Let me know when you have questions about details.
