- How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
- Global online discussions will be the start of New Freedom, allowing people to share their various points of view, present and hoped-for. From this we will go to in-person local groups, communities, and profit, non-profit, and social corporations.
Another part of New Freedom is the presentation of classes, courses, and experiential learning opportunities. Instructors need NOT own the land, sailboat, or whatever is used, but can work out options like donations, LETS, money, etc.
- In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
- The World As We Know It is rapidly ending. Orderly transitions will allow some of us to survive at various stages of meltdown.
The Transitions movement is integrating transitions into existing communities. New Freedom encourages this but adds new points of view, esp. the freedom to seek joy just so it does not hurt others, including the environment.
- How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
- In the New Freedom Web site I present some ideas that people can acept or not, at their sole discretion. These include the following.
1. JOY is a vital human motivator. It needs to be an important part of any movement for social change.
2. A new worldview, paradigm of living is possible, including spirituality and freedom of spiritality.
3. Individuals and societies can free themselves from Civilized Addictions.
4. Some communities or parts of communities can be clothing optional.
