In these days of the transgender movement, perhaps omitting the gender question would be appropriate and sensitive to some who may be transgendered.

Welcome Barb

Great to see your interest in Transition! Welcome to GLOBAL TRANSITION IN ACTION. You mention in your registration "...I can teach wild food foraging, preservation, wild rice conservation and harvesting...."  Super!  We look forward to sharing your experiences.

Please join and click anytime on Transition group members in Michigan to join your neighbors in discussions and events.  Click on any person's photo to say hello and find out more about their Transition interests. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something that particularly interests you. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Let me know if you would like to be an Admin on this page to help build and maintain your group's portfolio. Have fun!

On the local scene, does Lansing have a Transition-supporting website, or blog, or listserv, or Facebook, or Meetup? If so, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to your Lansing Community in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link. That way we can introduce our two groups to each other. I'll be glad to help launch and build your link.

One more thing. It would be super to see your photo -- Click on Choose File and then follow instructions. Let me know if you need assistance. I'll be delighted to do some photoshopping if needed.

Again, welcome!

Les
