Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Personally, I attempt to live as sustainably, as lightly, as possible on the earth. I am constantly looking for ways to live even more sustainably and sharing the things I do with others.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Phoenix, as of now, is not a very sustainable city, nor does there seem to be much effort here, other than a small group of isolated individuals. I am interested in seeing what other cities are doing and, while I am living here, attempting to initiate some changes here. I am also interested in possibly living someday in a Transition Town.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
I am spreading the word here, among my friends and other I meet, about the Transition movement. I am attempting to demonstrate that we can live sustainably in a city. As a matter of fact, although I prefer a small town or country living, I believe, given the right city, it is possibl to live MORE sustainanably in a city.

Brian, Glad to have you in the Verde Resilient Communities group. We're going to be cranking up the action as the weather cools down. Hope to engage you in something you feel is worthwhile. It will be fun to talk through Sustainable Phoenix.

Hi Brian, I am the group admin for the azhomegrownsolutions group on the ning site but a rather inept one. I am trying to figure out how to approve you to become a member of this group. However, I would like to invite you to join www.azhomegrownsolutions.org and connect with 800+ people interested in sustainability in Phx, Nayeema

Welcome Brian. Great to see your interest in Transition!

http://transitionus.ning.com/group/linktransitionarizonausa is your link to the new Transition page for Arizona. Feel free to join in the activities. Use the COMMENT WALL to say Hello to the others. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something you're interested in. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Let me know if you would like to be an Admin on this page to help build and maintain your group's Resume. Have fun!

One more thing, on the local scene, does Phoenix have a Transition-supporting website, or blog, or listserv, or Facebook, or Meetup? If so, it would be enlightening to all our members if you would consider adding a link to Phoenix in our registry of organizations, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability -- http://transitionus.ning.com/groups/group/new.

You can see all our groups at http://transitionus.ning.com/groups. Use Search on this page to find a specific group. Let me know when you have questions about the details.
