Kathleen Wilson commented on Chip Mefford's group 'Backyard Chickens'
"Hi All I saw this on the internet and since I just joined this group, thought I'd share. I live up in the mountains where I have had up to 5 feet of snow in the winter. So none of these coops would probably be adequate for me. Has anybody had…"

Scott Whitney commented on Chip Mefford's group 'Backyard Chickens'
"Hi Everyone,   If you don't have a coop yet, now is a good time to build one!  Your local farm store will probably be getting their chicks in pretty soon.  Chickens are fun!  Highly recommended."

Scott Whitney commented on Chip Mefford's group 'Backyard Chickens'
"Correction.  Roosters are technically not allowed in Prescott. My mistake.  But so far no problems with mine.  Just keeping it in the coop until 8am so no one within earshot has an early wake up call.  Knock on wood... so far, so…"

Titanic Lifeboat Academy replied to Chip Mefford's discussion 'We are now about to enter the heart of winter' in the group Backyard Chickens
"Hi, Scott & Chip, I agree that a well built chicken coop is a very sound investment.  I designed a coop with the usual nesting boxes, tree branch perches, feeder, waterer, plus an infirmary pen and a broody condo. It's worked very well…"

Chip,

I am a charter member of PASA and have attended all but 2 conferences. Yes, indeed, better than Xmas for me.

I'm new to the transition group and not good at the website yet. I heard Bill Sharp on WITF radio last week. Do you think he would organize this group for a meeting at PASA?

Welcome Chip,

Great to see your interest in Transition! Welcome to TRANSITION IN ACTION.

http://transitioninaction.com/group/linktransitionwestvirginiausa is your link to our new Transition page for your neighbors in West Virginia. Feel free to join in the activities. Use the COMMENT WALL to say Hello to the others. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something you're interested in. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Let me know if you would like to be an Admin on this page to help build and maintain your group's Resume. Have fun!

On the local scene, does Davis (or some broader geographic area) have a Transition-supporting website, or blog, or listserv, or Facebook, or Meetup? If so, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to Davis in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link -- http://transitioninaction.com/groups/group/new. I'll be glad to help launch and build your link. What do you think...?

You can see all our 315+ groups at http://transitioninaction.com/groups. Use Search on this page to find a specific group. Join as many as you like. Let me know when you have questions about details.

One more thing. It would be super to see your photo -- Choose File on http://transitioninaction.com/profiles/settings/editProfileInfo -- Let me know if you need assistance. I'll be delighted to do some photoshopping if needed.
