TRANSITION COLORADO is an informal networking site for those interested in exploring and/or implementing the Transition model in Colorado communities. This site is being created through grassroots participation, and is continually evolving.
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Just discovered it. I am an extremely frustrated land use planner (permit review) who wants to really work to make a difference and offset the impending social calamity.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I "discovered" Peak Oil within the last few months. I've always believed that our socio-economic order in the US was more tenuous than most people realized. Through Peak Oil I've found the articulation of my internal speculations. I have a family and I want to provide a stable future...somewhere...for my children and their children.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
I've kept a cycling related blog for a few years and I have focused mostly on transportation issues, which I think are key, for obvious reasons, to the Peak Oil dilemma, and in particular in mitigating the effects of our oil dependency. As I've evolved in thought I've realized my blog can be the outlet for my frustrations and an aid in finding solutions.
