How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?: I am just now signing up, but want to become more involved.

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?: I think supply chains will break down and people will need to help each other. I want to help create communities that can assist each other.

How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?: Did a doctoral dissertation on the links between ecosystem resilience and emerging infectious disease. Well read in the area of local economic independence and bottom-up structures.

Your Favorite Books/Websites/Blogs/RSS Feeds for Information about the Transition Movement: Will send another time-- didn't realize sign-up was going to be so lengthy, and didn't properly plan for it. Will try to send this info later.

We look forward to sharing your experiences.

Please join and click anytime on Transition group members in Hawaii to join your neighbors in discussions and events. Click on any person's photo to say hello and find out more about their Transition interests. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something that particularly interests you. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Let me know if you would like to be an Admin on this page to help build and maintain your group's portfolio. Have fun!

On the local scene, does Kailua have a Transition-supporting website, or blog, or listserv, or Facebook, or Meetup? If so, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to Kailua in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link. That way we can introduce our two groups to each other. I'll be glad to help launch and build your link.
