Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
"Mulling" starting an initiative on Lopez Island
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Need a way to do something about the huge challenges facing us (peak oil, climate change, financial system collapse). Want a structure for action which takes the best of science (looking at the likely future of resources and climate) with the psychology of change (coaching, open space technology)

Cleve: I am from Guemes Island. You know, near you somewhere. We are trying to
research Co-housing in Skagit County. It is in the comp plan.\. but no one seems
to know what it is. I know that the Lopez Land Trust is doing a lot. There is an
effort on Orcas called Sustainable Orcas that the head librarian is heading up.

We just got some wheat seed to test from him and I think O.J. probably packed
sorted the seed. I started http://transitionus.ning.com/group/transitioncascadia" target="_blank">Transition Cascadia

i AM WONDERING IF WE COULD ALL WORK TOGETHER I am having trouble with the Ning software, sorry, I can't se what I am writing.

Even though Guiemes is not in San Jaun County, we are in the San Juan Island.. If you know Dave Gugich who was the purser opn the internation ferry, he is one of my best friends. Excuse all the typos. We have a little non-profit here on the island called Madrona Center:http://madronacenter.org and I sure can't make that link hot. My best. Lane Parks

Dear Clive -

Sorry I didn't respond to your sweet note earlier. It looks like they've removed the "Cohousing and Transition" break-out session from the cohousing conference's schedule. But they do have TWO sessions on Saturday, both at 4:30, that sound similar: Suburban Permaculture, Neighborhoods and Cohousing and Journey Toward Creating a Regenerative Life Together.

I hope you get to go and carry the Transition message! Thanks for all your caring work.

I'd encourage you to join the Newcomers group below and put your questions about these topics to David and the other members of that group. In addition, you may want to declare Lopez Island a Group, thereby making it visible to our whole membership.
