Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Reading only, so far. Eager to relocate to a Transition Town, possibly in Canada. Organizing some remedial transition conversations here in our tiny international community near Sayulita, Mexico
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Can see it coming. all the signs are evident. Gotta do something, and want it to be positive and progressive, not fear based.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
many years of mediation skills, community organizing, and political activism for liberal causes (environment, education, women, kids). Hoping to get advanced training in NVC this year.........
Suggestions you have for improving our Registration questions. Getting to know you better.
ask people if they are committed to positive progressive ideals, or if they are "run for the guns" types........ this is a huge distinction and the issue needs to be faced soon, and hopefully bridged........ many of the WTSHF websites focus on guns and intolerance of those who might be different (race, gender preference, liberals vs. confederacy). ground rules for getting along with and playing well with others......

Hi Christy
we can meet any time- let me know when you are nearby
Am going to the HOHENWALD TN FInancial permaculture Convergence end of Sept & then, staying at the Farm for the Continental BIOREGIONAL Congress Oct-3-10, they do a transition training on OCt 11th- I did 2 trainings so seems so long ago- many good things have happened in Lyons since- the com plan is being revised with alot of public input, commissions started up that are working at metrics or actionable renewable energy & such things - am teaching a Permaculture design course in Longmont willow Way Wellness & am having alot of fun with all the classes we are giving for the Certification. Lyons is ready for a next younger group to give it a new shot in the arm with a new look- Transition Lyons has many in town banking on Transition helping the town, & by October we'll have certified permaculture grad taking up some great projected projects for cleaning up the waters in town.

Sp hope to hear from you in Lyons when you come back here.

The rain did not stop a few of us give thanks to gardens & rivers. it felt right.
Cheers/
Coco
