- How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
- I am a financial supporter of Transition NZ. I am spreading the word as I travel about Transition towns, and encouraging and supporting existing groups wherever I find them. I read the posts, and contribute as I can, and share the postings with people I know who would find the information useful.
- In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
- I get it. I understand that our Western way(ste) of life has been fueled by cheap oil. Now that that has ended, it is vitally important that the entire Western way of life be transformed. Me, I have been a nomadic volunteer since Dec 2006, and I have discovered the joys of few possessions, the peace of sleeping close to nature in a tent, and the satisfaction of helping others. The Transition movement is a positive response to the chaos and decline of Western society.
- How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
- What I can teach: I can share what I have learned about Nonviolent Communication. I can share what I have learned about healing yourself. I can share what I have learned about finding the right people to share your living space. I can share what I have learned about Time Banks, and alternative currency. I can share what I have learned about the spiritual aspects of what the world is going through now, and what I have learned about human and animal life on this planet - why we are here, and what we are really supposed to be doing while we are here.
