MIMIC THIS! When you get invited to events 3000 miles away (or 20 of them just across town), use COPY & PASTE with the really interesting events to seed your own community's plans for similar events. Why start from scratch.... Beg, borrow and mimic! More....
Welcome recently added members. Check periodically to see if friends you have invited have joined.
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Looking to get involved; right now involved with a peak oil meetup group (monthly meetings)
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I want to implement a lifestyle that will protect me from peak oil and from potentially drastic (hyperinflation) as a result of peak resources and/or interest rates.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
I was raised in the outdoors and was raised around farming cattle, horses, as well as wheat and soybeans. My father is a master gardener and I have much of the same skills. i Love being outside, backpacking, etc.

One more thing, on the local scene, does Atlanta have a Transition-supporting website, or blog, or listserv, or Facebook, or Meetup? If so, it would be enlightening to all our members if you would consider adding a link to Atlanta in our registry of organizations supporting Transition and Sustainability -- http://transitionus.ning.com/groups/group/new.
You can see all our groups at http://transitionus.ning.com/groups. Use Search on this page to find a specific group. Let me know when you have questions about the details.
