To mark the first anniversary of the Deepwater Horzion oil spill, Transition Voice, along with Transition US, the Post Carbon Institute and ASPO-USA, is calling on President Obama to mark the anniversary of the biggest environmental disaster in American history with a major speech on energy.He should acknowledge peak oil and then call on all Americans to join him in a moon shot effort to cut our use of oil by 50% in ten years through conservation and clean energy. See story here on Transition…See More

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
-- Founder of Transition Staunton Augusta, 61st US Transition Group
-- Co-founder of Transition Voice Magazine, the online magazine of the peak oil movement to launch in September 2010 at transitionvoice.com.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I'm concerned about peak oil, climate change, and economic distress and think that helping to prepare our local communities for a lower-energy future is one of the most important things that citizens can do.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
Our group runs a popular film series at a restaurant/music hall in downtown Staunton, with 150+ attendees. We'd be happy to share this model.

And Transition Voice hopes to work closely with Transition US and solicit news and content from people in different Transition groups.
