Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I am a new member to Transitions Colorado
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am interested because I see the pressing need to progressively transition the ways in which we conduct our daily lives. We have been on a vacation for too long and now have to face consequences. I want to get as involved as possible with like-minded individuals, as there is a considerably small amount of us out there. (frustrating)
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
I talk about the risk-factors of our lifestyle constantly. Many people think I've lost it because I am so passionate about what I believe in and what I predict happening in the near future. We need to prepare, prepare, prepare. I am beginning a local Resilience Circle in the Denver area. I have background in organic horticulture, medicinal herb usage and social work with emphasis on Early Childhood Intervention.

Welcome Jessica,

Great to see your interest in Transition! Welcome to TRANSITION IN ACTION.

http://transitioninaction.com/group/linktransitioncoloradousa is your link to our new Transition page for your neighbors in Colorado. Feel free to join in the activities. Use the COMMENT WALL to say Hello to the others. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something you're interested in. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Let me know if you would like to be an Admin on this page to help build and maintain your group's Resume. Have fun!

On the local scene, does Englewood (or some broader geographic area) have a Transition-supporting website, or blog, or listserv, or Facebook, or Meetup? If so, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to Englewood in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link -- http://transitioninaction.com/groups/group/new. I'll be glad to help launch and build your link. You interested?

You can see all our 330+ groups at http://transitioninaction.com/groups. Use Search on this page to find a specific group. Join as many as you like. We've recently started a newsletter to summarize significant "in action" activities. Great models for all of us! Let me know when you have questions about details.

One more thing. It would be super to see your photo -- "Choose File" on http://transitioninaction.com/profiles/settings/editProfileInfo -- Let me know if you need assistance. I'll be delighted to do some photoshopping if needed.

Super 2011 to you!
