In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I feel it`s the most effective way to build a culture that supports genuine happiness.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
In January 2009, Vanessa (my partner) and I created the Good Neighbours Project. We began with the Neighbour’s Things Shop, a space for exchanging second hand and produced locally goods. It`s a space that is helping our Transition Initiative in Pombal and could be very important to the implementation of a local currency.

Welcome to our group too. Thanks for joining! I don't know if you're a writer, but if you'd ever like to submit anything to Transition Voice, we'd be happy to have a look. We cover Transition, peak oil, climate change and the economy, with news features and reviews of books, movies and websites. If you ever have an idea, feel free to run it by me.
Welcome João. Great to see your strong and varied interest in Transition in Portugal!
We don't have a link yet on this site to Transition sites in Portugal. Would consider adding a link page on this site to our registry of organizations supporting Transition and Sustainability -- http://transitionus.ning.com/groups/group/new. Let's particularly do this for http://permaculturaportugal.ning.com/ -- wonderful site and resource to our mutual members. Then we can document websites, and blogs, and listservs, and Facebook, and Meetups active in Portugal.
Let me know if you're interested. I've added joaocleitao to my skype contacts and requested skype connection.
