How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Have begun Transition Newburyport Start up. Currently pursuing a Permaculture Design Certification. Reading the Transition Handbook and Bill Mollison's Design Manual.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I have been interested and worked with other groups over the past 30 years in formulating renewable energy initiatives and energy plans. My immediate plans for the short term future involves being trained in the transition town initiative while obtaining a permaculture design certification to be applied towards a new business venture specializing in lawn conversions. I am ultimately interested in the transition town movement because I feel it is a cohesive plan and opportunity for individuals and communities to directly effect their immediate future in transitioning from an oil based economy to alternative renewables based on the philosophies of permaculture, creating a sustainable permanent culture for future generations.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
I am dedicated to teaching myself and others about peak oil, permaculture, and transition town initiatives. I offer leadership qualities, experience in group dynamics and fluid management, creative and visionary inspiration.
