How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
President, Sustainable South Shore (south of Boston, MA)
Chair, Hull Sustainable Transportation Committee
Advisor, Greener Hull
Outreach Staff in Plymouth, MA, for Massachusetts Climate Action Network
Consultant/Advocate to Cohasset, MA, Alternative Energy Committee
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am interested in helping people work together as a community to transition into a renewable energy economy. I am happy to live in a town where over 10% of our electricity comes from two town-owned wind turbines. I am also very aware of the consequences of sea level rise as much of our peninsular town is about 15 feet above high tide. I care deeply about whales, dolphins, animals, plants, and all of Earth.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
Live sustainably, which is a joy, and reach out to others
Welcome Judeth! Great to see you here on Transition U.S. "... I am interested in helping people work together as a community to transition into a renewable energy economy..." -- Good to hear. What would you think about creating a Group here on this site for each of the groups you listed.... The Group function has a link to outside websites, so you can point MA members to their various offerings. Social networking isn't only for friends meeting friends; it's for groups meeting groups.
