MIMIC THIS! When you get invited to events 3000 miles away (or 20 of them just across town), use COPY & PASTE with the really interesting events to seed your own community's plans for similar events. Why start from scratch.... Beg, borrow and mimic! More....
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I am just learning about it, have read the book, and have just moved to Santa Fe, NM. Santa Fe is planning something for 10-10-10 (part of the 350.org movement), so the town clearly has leanings in this direction. I'm a longtime affiliate of the Findhorn Foundation, too. When I visited the first time, back in the 70s, Paul Hawken was there.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I'm looking for something positive to do about the current world situation; I'm through arguing about climate change; I want to start building for the future--whatever that will be.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
No idea at the moment, but I'm open. I do, often, send out emails to glum eco-friendly friends telling them about the Transition Movement.
