"definitely interested in getting together. We all need the support of a group to keep from getting depressed and frustrated by the lack of progress. Can we do it soon?"

I'm pretty new to this form of communication, but find it an exciting way to get & exchange info. Will also save Priscilla & Kit from a number of emails.
I'm probably only going to go on about once a week or so, tho'.
Thanks for setting this up, Kit.
Welcome Kit! Great to see you here on Transition U.S. and Transition Rochester. "... Planning to organize a 2 day transition training in NY state in first quarter 09..." -- Let us now what you need to make the event super successful.
If you haven't already done so, come and see the new US Transition Page we rolled out last week. As this page develops, it will become a map of Transition resources across all ning sites. All 50 states are now active. Many state sites are brand new! Go to TRANSITION NEW YORK and sign in. Invite others. Enter some of your local events. Start Discussions. Make Transition! Have fun!
Cool that you are from NY and found out about Transition at Findhorn. ME TOO! I went to the Positive Energy conference there this past March and Rob Hopkins was one of the presenters, along with Joanna Macy. I got really excited about the Transition idea hearing from Rob and conference participants who were leading Transition initiatives in their towns throughout the UK. I am now in the very beginning stages of creating a networking group in New York called Transition Hudson Valley, to support the launch and work of many town and neighborhood size initiatives in this region of NY. Lots of people I have talked to have been excited about the idea. And I really hope that, like Rob said has been his experience, things will just start to snowball and grow exponentially once we reach a critical mass, unleash the initiative and get to work. Welcome to Transition US, and I do hope you'll keep me updated on what you're doing in Rochester.
