How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?

On the steering committee of Transition Snoqualmie Valley.
My husband and I spent our honeymoon in October with the Pachamama Alliance training on a trip to visit the Ashuar in the Amazon. While looking for where to plug in locally to make a difference, I was invited by a friend to come to a book group organizing meeting. We're committed. My husband is an electrical contractor specializing in solar-PV.

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?

Passionately believe in the movement. I believe in putting my efforts toward building a better future.
We want to work with a local group to make a difference.

How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?

I have strong organizational skills and connections in the community through my work as a "community organizer" for social change. I have experience facilitating community dialogue, building coalitions, monitoring change, building relationships, and sharing outcomes. Our Transition group is still in the mulling phase working toward official status.
