Yes, we have an excellent agricultural economy in this area. There is a large Amish community in the valley east of here and an even larger one over the ridge to the south. There are several CSAs and several excellent farmers markets during season, and two community gardens.
I’ve talked to a lot of people in the area about first relocalization and now Transition and hope the group site will serve to draw enough people together to launch a transition initiative here. Wish me luck. Bill

You must work hard to be "lucky" enough to become a lawyer. Obviously she worked hard at her profession, being a mother, and passed good thoughts and encouragement on to you.
Same thing with talent. There are so many "talented" people who acquire their talent by diligence and dedication to their field. We can all become talented, lucky, have miracles, etc.
May we all work together for the miracle of a world consciousness of peace and unity.

Thanks for writing. I'm glad you enjoyed the music. I have not written one about peak oil yet. The operative word is yet. I am an interpretive artist as well as a songwriter. "Love Is The Answer" was written by Todd Rundgren.
I couldn't help but notice that people are writing to you as Lawrence. Law is your field of expertise. Is Lawence (on your heading) a play on words, or a humorous mistake?

The social networking sites are not about to go away or even lose momentum. Right in the spirit of social networking, there will be many groups who build specialized tools to serve their own constituencies. Think "coalition" or "collaboration". There's room and indeed necessity for many diverse groups addressing the future of our planet.

- They have something there called the sunshine market which is set up
outdoors twice a week for the farmers to sell their produce. They do this all over the island on different days. The problem is it's only 2 days a week in the Koloa/Poipu area and only for say 3 hours per day.
