- How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
- I am the co-founder of Transition Staunton Augusta (http://www.transitionstaunton.org), where I organize events, including the monthly Local Motion Film Series and the upcoming Joel Salatin speaking event. I am also a co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of the emerging online magazine Transition Voice (http://www.transitonvoice.com).
- In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
- My biggest interest is in examining the implications of peak oil and how communities can begin to downshift toward more meaning in their lives through more human connection and less ownership of "stuff". As a writer, I enjoy covering issues in the movement and bringing people together to mutually empower each other to embrace these changes with open minds and hearts.
- How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
- I believe I can make the biggest impact through our online magazine, Transition Voice. While I enjoy and treasure the process of working with my local community, my greatest personal strength and passion is as a writer. To that end, I feel my biggest impact can be in covering these issues for a larger audience.

We're interested in exploring permaculture and 3D printing opportunities here - will welcome any ideas or connections you may have on this. I'm glad to see some Transition activity here in Virginia. I live up I-81 a bit from you - in Frederick County (Winchester). I'm anxiously looking forward to see what comes of Transition Staunton.
I've made some feeble attempts to get something here, but I'm not exactly what you'd call a people person. I'm more of a solver than an organizer. As the great philospher once said, 'A man's got to know his limitations'. If there's anything I can do to help you out, please let me know.
On the national level, I've been active in the past with the Transition Ham Radio group. If you're interested in incorporating Ham Radio into Transition Staunton, I can definitely help there.
