How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Organized local Training for Transition in Jan 2009 with founders of Transition Ann Arbor -- 50 attended. Part of the Transition Town Ypsilanti group of Planners. About 8 are involved in doing educational activities such as film series, picnics, classes & workshops, participating in local Re-Skilling Fair, co-sponsoring events like the local "Tour de Fresh," writing lots of pamphlets & newsletters, starting a FB page, presenting at the US Social Forum, tabling weekly at the downtown Farmers' Market, Permaculture Self-Study group, etc.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Always identify with community building, grassroots, local, people working together to get stuff done--love the hopeful message of Transition Towns--and lastly, I identify with the Theory of Anyway: no matter what happens, working towards sustainability is the right thing to do ANYWAY.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
Many heads make better decisions.
