How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Not yet, other than following its growth and progress, reading about it, being inspired by it.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Because of my work on the project, Spirituality and Ecological Hope. I follow movements seeking to create a new way of life as the old breaks down.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
I can bring my work, my focus over the past few years on the underpinnings of the cultural and ecological crises that have emerged from the industrial era. My focus has been on the frameworks of meaning that define the culture that has emerged from industrial civilization and the need to articulate new frameworks within which to build the new human/eco-community. I have this to share and also to learn from networks like this one.

I see that you're to be a guest on Ken Rose's What Now radio show, broadcast out of Occidental CA ---www.pantedmonkey.org---on Oct 31. Wonderful show, so glad you'll be there, in such extraordinary company. His show archives are the best going. I was on Aug 1 and will be on again the week after you.
Great to see your interest in Transition! Welcome to GLOBAL TRANSITION IN ACTION. You mention in your registration "...My focus has been on the frameworks of meaning that define the culture that has emerged from industrial civilization and the need to articulate new frameworks within which to build the new human/eco-community. I have this to share and also to learn from networks like this one...." You'll find many others here who think as you do. We look forward to sharing your experiences. On the local scene, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to your http://www.ecologicalhope.org/in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link. That way we can introduce our two groups to each other. Are you interested? I'll be glad to help launch and build your link.
One more thing. It would be super to see your photo -- Click on Choose File and then follow instructions. Let me know if you need assistance. I'll be delighted to do some photoshopping if needed.
Welcome, Margaret! I think you may find much of value here at Transition in Action. Organizations, individuals, projects worth connecting with. When you visit Transition in Action again you can go to groups/all groups on the menu to find groups you might like to join and participate in, like mine, Life Rules - the book. http://transitioninaction.com/group/life-rules-the-book. Looking forward to conversation.
