How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?: Update: Transition Des Moines now has a steering group of three, of which I am one. We have a new Facebook page, a new subgroup for T DSM on TransitionUS/TransitionIowa, an initial charter.

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?: I think it is important that people begin planning NOW (actually should have started quite a while back) for a future in which fossil fuels are expensive or not available. Working on a project like this seems like one of the most worthwhile things I could be doing.

Yes, most definitely we would love to have you or someone trained give a presentation for one of our Lunch and Learns and/or Wells Fargo Environmental Affairs Green Team Iowa general membership meetings! Unfortunately I keep having schedule conflicts when they have nearby trainings, but I have met the founders at the Iowa Environmental Council Conference last year.
I also have been communicating with those in Ames as I live near there and have been giving presentations locally and nationally about "Corporate Grassroots Greening: Incorporating Environmental Stewardship into the Very DNA of Team Members and How we do Business."
I look forward to hearing more from you and scheduling your presentation(s) as we have multiple sites with 13,000 team members in the Des Moines Metro Area.
