How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I have spent the past six months intensively educating myself about: peak oil, global warming, and the economic situation's interconnection with them.
I am learning about small-scale alternative energy, post-carbon lifestyle, organic farming, bicycle repair, and other skills of practical use.
I'm also doing my best to educate people about peak oil and climate change, and the urgency of the situation.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Even as a child, I can remember discussing with my father the idea that our modern American way of life was unsustainable. I have since come to strongly believe in the circumstances that shape the Transition movement. I am now taking steps to adapt to what's coming, and hope to help others do the same.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
I have time, energy, deep knowledge of the problems, and design/computer skills to donate, and many practical skills yet to learn.
