Hey there. First time I've been back here since before the site moved. No, I don't own any solar panels, but I do own an earth machine, drive a vehicle that gets over 20mpg in the city, and close to 40 interstate. I buy locally produced food at the farmer's market held on Saturdays. I have gone around weatherproofing my house for leaks, changed out the cheap light bulbs, have a programmable thermostat, oh what else, what else...I wonder at the why of your question? Is it to see if I just talk the talk, or am I walking the walk? I am a product of my society, and yes, at my current level of income, and residence, dependant upon products derived from the production of oil. That does not mean I am happy with that state of affairs, nor does it mean I am not seeking to change them. Should I inquire about your green pedigree? No I should not, for it is none of my business. I am just pleased that there is hope that my grandchildren or great granchildren will not be tied to the land like serfs due to the efforts and education we are putting in now. Regardless of cultural or idealogical differences.

Hi Mel. You just requested that Transition Florida and Transition Louisiana be set up as groups. They are already here: Louisiana at http://transitionus.ning.com/group/linktransitionlouisianausa and Florida at http://transitionus.ning.com/group/linktransitionfloridausa

Did you have something else in mind....

It's ok Mel, I was guilty of thinking I'd be able to put one message on one site and the whole world & his dog would see it [ what a silly ol man ] so I've wound up joining a few groups to get the Sept 12th event known and it's been a good response and I've met lots of nice folks-and that's a real + these days.
It's chucking it down here, been out with g/son and it rained all day, so HE make sure it's fine all day tomorrow just to rub it in.
Regards
Tony L
