Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Involved locally in our Transition Town movement called Shasta Commons. Write/edit a weekly column on sustainability in local paper. Active in the Work That Reconnects (as taught by Joanna Macy).
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Because I want to contribute to a Great Turning from the Critical Mass Crises of our time to a Life Sustaining society.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
The Work That Reconnects helps people accept feelings of despair as feedback from the web of life, and find guidance and support for action on behalf of Life. I am also deeply steeped in the spiritual psychology of psychosynthesis, which I believe can help people remain centered and able to respond creatively to the challenges confronting us today.

Welcome Molly,

Great to see your interest in Transition! Welcome to GLOBAL TRANSITION IN ACTION. You mention in your registration "...Involved locally in our Transition Town movement called Shasta Commons. Write/edit a weekly column on sustainability in local paper. Active in the Work That Reconnects (as taught by Joanna Macy)...."  Great places to concentrate. You'll find many others here who think as you do. We look forward to sharing your experiences.

Please join and click anytime on Transition group members in California to join your neighbors in discussions and events.  Click on any person's photo to say hello and find out more about their Transition interests. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something that particularly interests you. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Have fun!

On the local scene, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to your Shasta Common group in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link. That way we can introduce our two groups to each other. Are you interested? I'll be glad to help launch and build your link.

One more thing. It would be super to see your photo -- Click on Choose File and then follow instructions. Let me know if you need assistance. I'll be delighted to do some photoshopping if needed.

Again, welcome!
