Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I teach free classes on herbal medicine and growing and using herbs.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I have a small organic herb farm and nursery. I try to teach as many people as I can the basics of using herbs to stay healthy.
As a Druid my spiritual life and beliefs revolve around respect for the earth and seeing the divine in nature.
I also am a member of United Plant Savers. I am working on establishing a sanctuary for At Risk Native Plants, and I enjoy teaching other about our native herbs. I give guided tours here at Evenmore gardens.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
I can teach about using herbs to stay healthy by using them for added nutrition in your daily diet. I can teach people how to grow herbs, dry them, make herb vinegars, oils, and tinctures. I have a small building on my land that is a library of books on herbs, herbal medicine, gardening, etc. I can (and have ) used it for classes.
Your Favorite Books/Websites/Blogs/RSS Feeds for Information about the Transition Movement
I am new to the Transition movement as it is in it's most modern form. But the subject is not new, and I have always promoted people learning how to use natural sustainable ways to stay healthy, and to be able to use natural means and folk medicine to take care of themselves.

Suggestions you have for improving our Registration questions. Getting to know you better.
These registration questions seemed fine to me. They may be a little intimidating, however, for some people just getting interested in networking to find out how to prepare themselves and their community for transitioning.

Welcome Niniann,

Great to see your interest in Transition! Welcome to TRANSITION IN ACTION. I see you've already connected with our U.S. mailing list.  I've also requested that we friend.

Click anytime on Transition group members in New Hampshire to join your neighbors in discussions and events.  Click on any person's photo to say hello and find out more about them. Reinforce the good things they are doing. Mention something that particularly interests you. Ask a question. Start a discussion. Let me know if you would like to be an Admin on this page to help build and maintain your group's portfolio. Have fun!

On the local scene, does your organic herb farm and nursery have a Transition-supporting website, or blog, or listserv, or Facebook, or Meetup? If so, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link to your farm in our registry of organizations, localities, companies, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link. I'll be glad to help launch and build your link. Are you interested?

One more thing. It would be super to see your photo -- Click on Choose File and then follow instructions. Let me know if you need assistance. I'll be delighted to do some photoshopping if needed.

Again, welcome!

Les
