Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I would like to become involved.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am finishing up an MBA with a concentration in entrepreneurship and am planning on pursuing a Ph.D. in economics. Philosophically, I adhere to the model of the Club of Rome and the original Limits to Growth paradigm. I was on the Jackson County (NC) Economic Development Commission and strongly believe in localization as opposed to globalization. Globalization is simply NOT sustainable.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
I was an unemployment tax auditor until I became physically sick of the government bureaucracy I was working for. I did work very closely with small rral businesses in my area and am acutely aware of how various government regulations work counter to their stated intent and counter to the public interest. At best, they are wolves in sheeps clothing.

Suggestions you have for improving our Registration questions. Getting to know you better.
Perhaps a short essay of how localization can be applied to the applicant's community.
