MIMIC THIS! When you get invited to events 3000 miles away (or 20 of them just across town), use COPY & PASTE with the really interesting events to seed your own community's plans for similar events. Why start from scratch.... Beg, borrow and mimic! More....
Welcome recently added members. Check periodically to see if friends you have invited have joined.
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
We are in the process of beginning a Transition movement in our area. We are showing our first documentary tonight. Gathering a list of like-minded people
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
We have the only community garden in our town and have been for a while 'seeing' what is going on in the world. We understand that something is changing and we want to be part of the solution, a voice of reason, in this changing time.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
The growth and acceptance of the Transition movement will be nutured by continuing to do what we do at our community garden. We will use our garden as a facilitator of knowledge. We are at present in the beginning stage of sharing. We have been for the last two years promoting sustainable agriculture practices and urban agriculture.

One more thing, on the local scene, does Fort Smith have a Transition-supporting website, or blog, or listserv, or Facebook, or Meetup? If so, it would be spot on for all our members if you would consider including a link for Fort Smith and/or http://mecgarden.ning.com/ in our registry of organizations, products, services, Twitterers, Facebooks, Meetups, etc. supporting Transition and Sustainability. Here's the page to create the link -- http://transitionus.ning.com/groups/group/new.
You can see all our groups at http://transitionus.ning.com/groups. Use Search on this page to find a specific group. Let me know when you have questions about details.
