My experience with David Korten is that his principle vehicle, outside his books, YES! Magazine mainly promotes his work and his speeches. I think it is understandable that he wants to benefit economically from his work to sustain his family…"
"Dave,
Would enjoy talking sometime. I posted an email on your growthbusters website previously, don't know if you saw it. But, yes, I'd be interested in talking. I am limited in the time I can devote to this project, but would like to get…"
"Chris,
Thanks for your comment. I will certainly check in with Mr Korten on my plans, which are just in the idea stage at this point, but ... given his professed ideals in his writings, I cannot imagine he would be in opposition to such a project.…"

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Attending Ecological Economics discussion group; attend Transition events in my area. Have started a discussion group for "The Great Turning"
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Because I want to help change the economy to one that develops people, not global corporations...because it help gives my life meaning...and could help reduce suffering in the world.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
To change the predominant economic paradigm in people's minds that the purpose of the economy is the development of people, not corporations. Vague national economic policies of unlimited economic growth is not only insane it is destroying the planet. This must be replaced with the new paradigm of economic development.

Rick,
My experience with David Korten is that his principle vehicle, outside his books, YES! Magazine mainly promotes his work and his speeches. I think it is understandable that he wants to benefit economically from his work to sustain his family and magazine. This said, I think it is important you check with him on your plans before you get too far down the road. He runs a business. Chris
