How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
Not involved in Transition Town movement per se, but Peak Oil aware, and currently working on improving my gardening skills, putting up food, etc. Also live in Old North St. Louis, where there is a huge sense of community - that will be the most important thing in the future, for sure.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
There is no denying we are in trouble, but I am looking forward to a society that is based more on human relationships and cooperation and less on competition and money. I am also a huge fan of things made with a pair of human hands. That said, I know it will be incredibly traumatic and I think the sooner we get to work the less traumatic it will be - esp. for children!
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement? What can YOU teach us? What can your GROUP teach us?
Would like to learn permaculture and other skills so that i can teach them to other people. Also v. interested in how best to form small-scale communities that can function independently - like the Open Source Ecology Folks near KC
